Ananta, the GTA-like anime-inspired RPG, will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2025

Ananta, the upcoming GTA-like anime-inspired RPG, is coming to Tokyo Games Show
Cosplayers, merch and a hands-on demo will all be playable for visitors
But unfortunately, this’ll only be the PC version that’s available to play

If there’s one dark horse competitor in mobile, I think is going to hit big, it’s Ananta. Mixing the flashy and over-the-top action of Genshin Impact with the vast open world of Grand Theft Auto and more than a little Spider-Man style traversal, it has the potential to be a major success on mobile (and beyond).

But I don’t blame you if you’re a little sceptical that Naked Rain’s huge promises can really bear fruit. Although if you are, and you happen to be in Chiba later this month from September 25th to 28th, then you’re in luck, because Ananta will be taking pride of place as part of Tokyo Game Show 2025.

Naturally, as you might expect, there’ll be the usual bevvy of fancy eye-catching stuff happening. Cosplayers, merchandise giveaways and competitions to draw in the casual observer, who’ll then be equally enticed to try a hands-on demo of Ananta for themselves

Pedal to the metal

While it may not offer as much of an insight into how Ananta works on mobile as we had hoped, it’s undoubtedly enticing as one of the first major looks at it in the wild, so to speak, that we’ve had. I reckon the real judgement will come when Ananta finally hits mobile and we can see how well it runs there.

There’s stiff competition for Ananta in terms of upcoming releases, in any case. Why not check out our list of the best mobile games in soft launch to see what other top releases are set to come out and make their mark on mobile?
