Audrina Patridge claimed that daughter Kirra doesn’t see her dad, Corey Bohan, very frequently.
“In the beginning, she was so used to only me and not sharing me,” Patridge, 40, said of introducing Kirra to her current boyfriend, Michael Ray, during the Tuesday, September 16, episode of the “Pie” podcast hosted by Kurt Sutter and Katey Sagal.
Sagal, 71, then asked The Hills star if her daughter’s father was “in the picture,” to which she replied no.
“That’s a whole [other] complicated thing. But no,” she claimed. “She doesn’t really see him once in a great while. But not much.”
Patridge explained that Ray, 37, has been the one to step into a fatherly role for Kirra, 9.
“Michael’s been like more of a father figure to her than she’s ever had,” she said. “And she respects him and admires him.”
Patridge shared that she introduced Kirra and Ray after they had been together for “about six months.” The couple made their relationship official in July 2024.
Bohan, for his part, has featured snaps of him and Kirra on his social media page.
Before connecting with Ray, Patridge was married to Bohan, 43, from November 2016 to October 2018. The pair welcomed Kirra in June 2016, five months before they tied the knot in Hawaii.
“We were thrilled to bring both our families and friends together to celebrate our lifelong commitment in one of our favorite vacation spots,” Patridge wrote on her blog following her nuptials. “I will never forget November 5th, 2016 — I had the best time of my life and can’t imagine it any other way.”
After two years of marriage, Patridge and the BMX pro split. Patridge and Bohan finalized their divorce in December 2018. The reality star was awarded primary custody and Bohan was granted visitation rights. The exes also went to mediation to establish a coparenting plan.
Four years after her divorce, Patridge opened up about the ups and downs she faced in her and Bohan’s relationship.
“It’s not a secret that our relationship was toxic,” she exclusively told Us Weekly in July 2022 while promoting her book, Choices. She referred to the divorce as a “pivotal moment in my life.”
“It was such a turning point that that’s something that I couldn’t just leave out [of the memoir] and pretend it never happened,” Patridge explained at the time. “Because it did change me for better and it made me stronger and you know, so I had to include that.”
While it was tough to cope with, Patridge shared she planned on putting Kirra’s needs first so that she and Bohan could maintain a healthy coparenting dynamic.
“I try to keep it strictly just about my daughter,” she explained. “It’s almost like business. Like, I only respond or write to him on the Talking Parents app, if it’s about our daughter and that’s it.”
