There is shock and outrage following the death of Charlie Kirk , a right-wing political commentator, who was shot and killed at Utah Valley University on 10th September. The political pundit, 31, was sitting at his signature “Prove Me Wrong” table as part of his American Comeback Tour when he was fatally shot. Videos circulating on social media show him being shot in the neck as he answered a question about gun violence. Charlie was a husband and a father to two young children. He married former Miss Arizona Erika Frantzve in May 2021, and the couple welcomed a daughter in August 2022 and a son in May 2024. Here’s everything to know about Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika Frantzve Kirk, and their two kids. Charlie and Erika met in 2018 and later went on a “very, very long dinner” where he knew almost immediately that she was “the one,” as he recalled in a 2024 Turning Point USA video. In September 2023, Erika shared a post on Instagram reflecting on that first date. She wrote: “5 years ago today, we sat inside Bills Burgers in NYC deep in conversation and banter over theology, philosophy, and politics and at the end, you paused, looked at me and said, ‘I’m going to date you.’ // …dating with intention to marry is way different than dating to ‘see where it goes’. Let God write your love story.” The couple got engaged in December 2020, with Erika sharing some snapshots with her followers, and telling them: “…when God writes your love story, you get to marry your best friend.” Just five months later, Charlie and Erika tied the knot, both sharing photos from their special day. Erika later revealed in an Instagram post: “Our wedding was very intimate…no bridesmaids, no groomsman.” In August 2022, they welcomed their first child together, a little girl, followed by their son in May 2024. They celebrated the news by posting a photo of Charlie holding the newborn in the hospital. Tragically, just a few weeks before Charlie was killed, he and Erika had celebrated their daughter’s 3rd birthday. The proud dad wrote on Instagram at the time: “Happy birthday to our incredible daughter. Teaching her to know God, alongside @mrserikakirk , is the greatest privilege. “Having a family will change your life in the best ways, so get married and have kids. You won’t regret it.” The couple made the decision to keep their children’s faces and names off of social media. “We have a girl and a boy and it’s no one’s business what their names are or their faces,” Charlie said in a June 2025 video. Erika – who was crowned Miss Arizona USA in 2012 – frequently supported her husband at his events. An excerpt from her website reads: “Above all, Erika cherishes her role as the wife of Charlie Kirk and the mother of their precious son and daughter. “As she continues to grow in her ministry, leadership, and entrepreneurial endeavors, Erika remains committed to inspiring others to live with purpose, rooted in faith, and driven by the love of Christ in every aspect of life.” Prior to meeting Charlie, Erika studied at Arizona State University, where she earned a degree in Political Science and International Relations. She also obtained a Juris Master’s degree from Liberty University in 2017, as well as a Doctorate in Christian Leadership which she obtained in 2022. Erika works as a real estate agent for The Corcoran Group in New York City and is the founder of nonprofit organization Everyday Heroes Like You, which focuses on empowering communities. She also hosts a podcast titled Midweek Rise Up, which made its debut in 2019, as well as running her own faith-based fashion brand, PROCLAIM Streetwear. On top of that, Erika has a former beauty queen title to add to her impressive resume, after she was crowned Miss Arizona USA in 2012. A fan of sports, she also put her skills to good use and played collegiate basketball for Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Erika stood by Charlie’s side through many Turning Point USA events, delivering speeches and speaking with the crowds who gathered to hear him talk. And she joined him in Washington earlier this year for President Trump’s inauguration and additional celebrations, including a Turning Point USA inauguration-eve ball. Charlie founded Turning Point USA in June 2012. It is described on its website as “a national student movement dedicated to identifying, organising, and empowering young people to promote the principles of free markets and limited government.”
