Mogadishu (HOL) – Somali Police Force (SPF) Commander
Brigadier General Asad Osman Abdullahi chaired a meeting in Mogadishu on
Thursday to review strategies for improving security operations and public
service delivery.
The meeting, attended by senior police leadership including
Deputy Commander Brigadier General Osman Abdullahi, focused on strengthening
security measures, enhancing vigilance, and ensuring that all units comply with
directives from the general command.
Discussions also highlighted the fight against dangerous
narcotics, improving the appearance of police centers, and modernizing service
processes to deliver faster and more efficient services to citizens.
“This meeting aligns with the government’s broader
commitment to transparent governance and institutional reform,” General Asad
said, urging police units to intensify their efforts to protect the public and
strengthen cooperation with communities.
The SPF has recently stepped up operations in Mogadishu
targeting drugs and insecurity, part of ongoing efforts to improve
accountability and boost operational effectiveness.
