Bawumia is the only well-marketed and credible candidate to win the 2028 elections – Strikers4DMB

A coalition of former New Patriotic Party (NPP) constituency organisers and executives, who served under the immediate past NPP administration, has officially declared its support for former Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

The group, which calls itself “Strikers for Dr Mahamudu Bawumia” (Strikers 4 DMB), stated that the former vice president is the most credible and well-marketed candidate for the 2028 general elections.

According to Mr Seth Kofi Osei Kissi, the Chief Director of Operations for the group, “Strikers 4 DMB” is comprised of 94 percent of former organisers and executives from across the country.

“Our support for the former vice president demonstrates our commitment to ensuring that we elect a presidential candidate who is well-marketed and easy to promote to Ghanaians,” he said. “He has already been subjected to credibility tests, vilified, and called names, so there is nothing new they can say about him again. Ghanaians and the other political parties vilified him and called him all forms of names, but today, he is as pure as snow. His election as our presidential candidate is positive news. We will deploy this experience to ensure Dr Bawumia’s message resonates in every corner of Ghana.”

In an interview on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, he added, “We are experienced former organisers and executives. We will not engage in any form of politics of insults. Our interest is to ensure that Dr Bawumia is elected as the presidential candidate. He was the only one on the ballot paper and contested in the 2024 general elections. He is a unifier and a grassroots mobiliser. He is capable of rallying the party and the nation towards victory. He is not corrupt and will certainly win the 2028 presidential election for the NPP,” he stated.
