What makes birthdays special? The cake, of course! Sometimes it is the simple and classic chocolate delight that fills your heart with glee. At other times, it is a tiered and themed creation, capturing the personality of the birthday star. With a similar fancy design in mind, a woman ordered a cake for her 22nd birthday from a bakery store. However, what arrived was so different from the original inspiration that the birthday girl and her best friends could not help but go ROFL instead of getting angry. The incident came to light when the before and after images of the cake were posted on Reddit.
The first one was the reference snap featuring a vanilla cake, decorated with tiny heart impressions, created with red icing. The words, “I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling 22”, were written on top of the dessert. The second picture presented the cake, which was delivered, but that was in no way similar to the original.
Bakery Fails To Deliver Expected Birthday Cake
Not only did the bakery change the “I don’t know” part with “IDK”, but they also skipped writing “22” and insisted that the customer add a 22-themed candle instead. Even the decoration was completely different.

Internet Reacts To Hilarious Birthday Cake Fail
The internet could not believe its eyes.
Pointing out the odd designs on user wrote, “Ketchup and mustard piping for the win!” “I’m LOSING it. They didn’t even put the numbers. I’m so sorry, I hope it was at least good!!! Like what even happened here, though? I want to know what was going on in the bakery,” commented another. “Honestly, this is how life and expectations are after 21,” noted an individual.
“I like how they paraphrased, ‘I don’t know,’ because they couldn’t be bothered,” pointed out one person. “The requested design is so simple and yet completely ignored, you just know they aren’t making cakes to order at all. They just took a cake they had without giving 2 f***s about the design, and just started writing before they realised they ran out of space. Didn’t even want to fix that,” read an angry remark.
