Apollo Tyres will be the new Indian cricket team’s new jersey sponsor and will pay roughly Rs 4.5 crores each game, which is a substantial increase over the Rs 4 crore that Dream11 was previously paying. The sponsorship period will last until 2027, during which time up to 130 games will take place. India will be seen donning this name on their jersey from the upcoming West Indies series from October 2. According to a report by Times of India, the other two bidders who attended the table were Canva and JK Tyre. It is also known that Birla Optus Paints appeared eager to make an investment but declined to take part in a bidding procedure. On September 16, the jersey sponsorship bidding process took place. On September 2, the BCCI issued an Expression of Interest call for bids on the lead sponsor rights for the Indian squad. The Indian Cricket Board had explicitly said in that announcement that brands related to gaming, betting, cryptocurrency, and tobacco were not allowed to bid. Manufacturers of sportswear and athleisure, banks, financial institutions, fans, mixer grinders, safety locks, and insurance providers were also excluded. Due to the government’s Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act 2025, which had a significant influence on the brand and its operations, Dream11 had to make an exit and India had to immediately find a new sponsor. In the current Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, the Indian cricket team is competing without a jersey sponsor.
