More than a dozen renowned chefs from across the country are coming to Sonoma County next month at the invitation of Guy Fieri to dish up their signature bites as part of a charity event supporting Fieri’s nonprofit organization.
The Chefs for Heroes Fundraiser, taking place at Healdsburg’s Rodney Strong Vineyards on Oct. 11, will feature 15 chefs offering interactive culinary experiences and a live concert by a surprise guest. The night benefits the Guy Fieri Foundation’s work to feed first responders and veterans, according to the foundation’s Executive Director Brian Daly.
“While some details for this year’s Chefs for Heroes event are still coming together, we are excited to share that partnering with Rodney Strong Vineyards means we will be able to welcome more guests to this special evening in support of our mission,” Daly said in an email to The Press Democrat Thursday.
The event’s star-studded chef lineup, announced Sept. 13, includes Fieri and his son, Hunter, Antonia Lofaso, Stephanie Izard, Mei Lin, Lee Ann Wong, Sara Bradley, Jonathan Sawyer, Britt Rescigno, Crista Luedtke, Bobby Marcotte, Adam Sobel, Joe Sasto, Nini Nguyen, and Kevin Lee, with special appearances by Food Network star and cookbook author Justin Warner and “Chopped” judge and chef Tiffani Faison.
Tickets starting at $2,500 are on sale now. Attendees can also purchase a VIP ticket for $5,000 to get early entry, special dishes and a photo with Fieri.
Tickets to the concert only are $250.
According to Daly, money raised from the event will also go toward building a third Guy Fieri Foundation Disaster Relief Trailer to be based in the Midwest. The foundation already has two trailers based on each coast.
The trailers regularly travel to disaster sites where volunteers serve meals to survivors and first responders, including, in California, during the 2017 Tubbs Fire, the 2018 Camp and Carr fires, the 2019 Kincade Fire and the 2020 LNU Lightning Complex fires.
