The signs of cancer can appear at any time of the day, however, one pharmacist has claimed there are certain symptoms which can occur in the morning particularly. Being aware of these indicators can aid individuals to seek a medical assessment, which could ensure treatment is accessed as soon as possible. Abbas Kanani, a pharmacist at Chemist Click , has shared how any unusual changes in the morning should encourage Brits to contact the GP. He said in his professional opinion a lingering cough, exhaustion and night sweats could be potentially be cause for concern in relation to cancer. He added fatigue can be another morning symptom to be aware of, especially when aligned with other warning signs, the Daily Record said. Mr Kanani continued: “It’s normal to feel a little tired in the morning, but if this is not usual for you, or you are noticing fatigue lasting throughout the day, you should get this checked out.” The third symptom highlighted by the pharmacist was night sweats, identifiable when bedding becomes soaked or damp with perspiration. He went on: “Get this checked out with your GP, especially if night sweats are accompanied by fatigue, weight loss or bruising.” READ MORE: Woman’s matcha addiction sparks dash to hospital According to the NHS , other symptoms which can appear at any time of the day include: Lifestyle changes, such as reducing smoking and alcohol consumption, can significantly lower cancer risks. Cancer Research UK has identified quitting smoking as the “biggest preventable cause of cancer in the UK, and worldwide.” The charity’s website states: “The link between smoking and cancer is very clear. It causes at least 15 different types of cancer, including two of the most common, lung and bowel cancer.” They emphasise that there is no safe level of smoking. The charity also notes that cutting back on alcohol can aid in diminishing cancer risks. Their advice is straightforward: “Alcohol causes seven types of cancer, including breast, mouth and bowel cancer. Whatever your drinking habits, cutting down will reduce your risk.”
