Actress Dayo Amusa punishes Tik-Tocker for lying she’s HIV positive

A Tick-Toker Olaoluwa Segun, known on TikTok as unofficial_olas001 has come out to say he has learnt a lesson.

‘I was locked up for two days in Yaba Panti for posting that Actress Dayo Amusa has HIV.

” That was the worst experience of my life after the demise of my mum. When I entered the cell, one of the rugged looking guys there told me to prostrate and greet them.

“There was no furniture there, only a pit latrine and an uncovered window with mosquitoes entering. I begged them I wanted to use the pit latrine and they allowed. You can’t imagine how the Latrine looks like and the terrible smell coming out of there.

“There is no door separating the latrine from the cell so it’s just as if you are sleeping inside the latrine. They told me I was lucky because the cell was the best there.

“If it was to be the second cell, they would have welcomed me with serious beating because there was no camera and light there

Camera was still in the cell I was so they behaved themselves. I controlled my tears so they would not see me as a weakling. Luckily for me, One of the leaders in the cell recognized me and he said he followed me on TikTok.

“He protected me and didn’t allow me to suffer what they did to other newcomers. We were like 60 in one cell. Some of the inmates told me it was the same cell Naira Marley was locked up. Inmates slept on the cold tiles with mosquitoes biting them.

” The leaders slept on the haggard bunk beds. The guy that recognized me used his influence to give me a smelly wretched bed to sleep on.

“I want to thank Aunty Dayo Amusa for forgiving me. If not that she changed her mind and forgave me, I would have been there for a long time. I don’t pray to ever sleep in a cell again’

Interestingly, Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa says she has forgiven the TikTok content creator who falsely accused her of being HIV positive.

In July, Amusa had threatened legal action against Olaoluwa Segun, known on TikTok as unofficial_olas001, after he named her among five Nigerian actors he alleged were living with HIV.

The actress debunked the claim, explaining that the creator had lifted a 2019 post where she shared her HIV-negative status to encourage fans to get tested.

“Why do content creators and bloggers post unverified information? I have families and friends who read all these lies. He will be my scapegoat and serve as a lesson to others. I am HIV negative,” Amusa had said at the time.

However, in a video posted on her Instagram page on Monday, Amusa revealed she has decided to forgive Olaoluwa.

She said she had a change of heart after learning he had just lost his mother, met his relatives and discovered he was only 27 years old.

“I am making this video regarding the pending issue about myself and a content creator who defamed my character and put out wrong information about my HIV status, which has gone viral and has had people have different impressions and opinions about me,” she said.

“I did promise to make him a scapegoat, which I did, but along the line I realised he just lost his mum. I got to realise he is just a 27-year-old boy. I also got to meet his relatives, including his uncle,” she explained.

Amusa also shared a clip of Olaoluwa apologising for his actions.

“I want to apologise to her fans, I’m very sorry about that. Now we’re friends,” he said.

Thanking fans for their support, Amusa wrote in her caption, “Case closed. To err is human, to forgive is divine. Making mistakes is a natural and inherent part of being human, they say. Let’s be guided.”

In a separate video on his TikTok page on Monday, Olaoluwa recounted spending two days in detention at Yaba Panti police station over the incident.

“I spent two days locked up in Yaba Panti. Aside from losing my mum, that was the worst experience of my life,” he said.

“I want to thank Aunty Dayo Amusa for forgiving me. If not that she changed her mind and forgave me, I would have been there for a long time. I don’t pray to ever sleep in a cell again,” he added.
