With its rich cultural backdrop and sporting enthusiasm, Udaipur in Rajasthan is gearing up to host the Pickle Up 3.0, a PWR 50 pickleball tournament, from September 12 to 14, for what promises to be a three-day of thrilling contests at Sports Fusion. The tournament, sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), will feature more than 120 players across 11 competitive categories, offering opportunities for both upcoming talent and seasoned players to showcase their skills. A prize pool of Rs 3 lakh will be at stake, adding further incentive for participants to give their best on court. These divisions reflect the tournament’s inclusivity, encouraging participation from young prodigies, amateur enthusiasts, and experienced players alike. The presence of multiple age brackets also ensures that pickleball lovers from different walks of life can engage in fair and competitive play. Notable players participating across all categories include Shivraj Singh, Samarth Bharadwaj, Paras Kotwal, Chirag Vyas, Shail Pandya, Jeetpal Singh Chauhan, Vikramaditya Chaufla, and Anshul Babel, with participants representing Rajasthan and Gujarat. Beyond the competition, Pickle Up 3.0 is also expected to be a celebration of pickleball’s rapid rise in India. Over the past few years, the sport has gained remarkable traction, with events like this giving players a professional stage and audiences an exciting sporting spectacle.
