Dan Browder said he turned his hobby of collecting vintage items into an online business with a $6 investment five years ago.
This summer, Browder decided to complement his online business, Vintage From The Sole, by opening a vintage clothing store on the second floor of the building 415 Bosler Ave. in Lemoyne. The store is located above the Antique Marketplace of Lemoyne at the former Manbeck Bakery building. Browder previously had a booth in the Antique Marketplace of Lemoyne for two years.
Vintage From The Sole mainly sells men’s clothing and accessories.
Browder said the store is stocked with more than 3,000 pieces of vintage clothing. Items range from the mid-1800s to the early 2000s.
He said there is something for everyone — whether someone is a serious collector seeking a piece of World War II history or a high school student looking for a simple t-shirt for a night out with friends.
“The goal of my store is to buy and sell the highest quality vintage clothing to the public and offer something that is truly unique to the area,” Browder said in an e-mail.
The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and during the week by appointment only.
