The Met Office has issued a weather warning for rain tomorrow – with up to 60mm of rain forecast to fall in under six hours. That warning kicks in at 3am tomorrow morning.
This comes at a time when there are already flood alerts in place across a number of parts of the region. There are currently two warnings from Natural Resources Wales, covering areas of Gwynedd, Denbighshire and the borders of Wrexham.
There had been further alerts in place for parts of the Conwy Valley and other areas of Gwynedd but these are no longer in force.
A Flood Alert means flooding is possible and to be prepared.
The current alerts in place:
Areas around the River Dee from Llanuwchllyn to Llangollen: Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. We will continue to monitor the situation.
River Vyrnwy, River Tanat and River Cain & their tributaries: Flooding of low-lying land and roads is expected. Rainfall is currently affecting this area. River Levels will be above normal levels. Roads close to Meifod Bridge, the B4393 near Llansantffraid Bridge and the B4398 at New Bridge Llanymynech could also be affected by the rising levels. We will continue to monitor the situation.
