Karnataka to host first Bengaluru skill summit ahead of Tech summit

Ahead of the Bengaluru Tech Summit (Nov 18–20), the Karnataka government will host the first Bengaluru Skill Summit (BSS) 2025 from November 4–6.

The summit will focus on workforce development and skilling innovation under the theme “Workforce 2030: Scale, Systems, Synergy,” aligning with the State’s ambition to become a $1 trillion economy by 2032. Karnataka contributes nearly ₹4.11 lakh crore during fiscal 2023-24, approximately 43 per cent. With BSS, Karnataka aims to leverage the summit to cement its position as a global talent hub and address future workforce demands in areas such as AI, green jobs, Industry 4.0, and digital economy.

Enabling knowledge

Dr. Sharan Prakash R. Patil, Minister for Medical Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship & Livelihood, and Minister in charge of Raichur district, speaking at the curtain raiser, said, “This summit brings together various stakeholders from the skilling ecosystem on one platform, enabling knowledge sharing and collaboration. With leading companies, institutions, and experts participating, there will be significant opportunities for networking and discussion of key outcomes. One of the major outcomes will be the unveiling of the state’s new Skill Policy, along with deliberations on how best to implement it. The summit will also focus on strengthening institutional and industry partnerships, documenting successful skilling models, and creating meaningful engagement for job seekers and youth.”

The summit is Organised through the Karnataka Skill Development Corporation (KSDC) under the guidance of the Karnataka Skill Development Authority (KSDA), the Summit is supported by the Karnataka Digital Economy Mission (KDEM) as Knowledge Partner and M/s Trescon Global Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd. as Event Organiser.
