Spot admissions for various undergraduate degree programmes offered by the constituent colleges of the Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa Fisheries University will be held on the campus in Nagapattinam on September 22.
The spot admissions are to be made for B. Tech (Biotechnology), B. Tech (Food Technology), BBA (FEM), B.Voc. (Industrial Aquaculture) and B.Voc. (Industrial Fishing Technology).
Candidates who had applied for UG admission 2025–26 but had not paid the counselling fee and those who did not attend or missed the general counselling or missed the counselling can avail this opportunity. However, candidates who have been allotted seats and admitted through general counselling or those who participated in the counselling and later cancelled their admission or discontinued will not be eligible to opt for spot admission again.
Interested candidates must appear in person at the university headquarters in Nagapattinam by 11 a.m. on that day. The attendance of students participating in the spot admission will be recorded and ranking done based on merit. Subsequently, the students will be called to select their college and degree programme.
After selecting the college, they must pay the counselling fee (₹100/- for SC/SCA/ST and ₹200 for others) and admission fee (₹10,000) at the counselling venue to confirm their allotment.
