Households 'save on electric' with kitchen device that can 'cook roast in 50 minutes'

As energy consumption typically spikes during the colder months, investing in cost-effective kitchen appliances can help reduce household bills. Air fryers are a popular choice, but other quick-cooking and economical devices like pressure cookers are also worth considering. Currently, Yimbly (a marketplace owned by Wales Online’s parent company, Reach Plc) is offering a Drew&Cole Pressure King pressure cooker for £49.70 (originally £69.99), however, shoppers can save an extra 10% using the code AUTUMN10 at checkout. This takes the price down further to £44.73. The seasonal discount is valid for use until the end of November, reports Yorkshire Live . The Pressure King boasts a 4.8-litre capacity and claims to cook meals ‘90% faster’ than traditional methods such as using an oven or stove. The brand also asserts that the device uses at least 53% less electricity than the average oven. The Pressure King has features including steam, sauté, keep warm, and delay timer functions. It also doubles as a slow cooker and can prepare between two and six servings of food at once. For those needing a larger option, Amazon is selling a 5.7-litre COSORI Pressure Cooker for £79.98, down from £99.99. It has 14 customisable cooking functions, including one for cakes and another for making yoghurts. Alternatively, customers seeking a Ninja air fryer can slash £50 off the brand’s sought-after 6-in-1 Dual Zone Air Fryer , now priced at £149.99, reduced from £199.99. This twin-tray appliance boasts a 7.6L capacity and caters for 6-8 people. Returning to the Drew&Cole Pressure King from Yimbly, one customer described it as ‘absolutely brilliant’, adding: “I’m so glad I bought this. It’s been a very good buy. Good value for the price, too. I will recommend it to my friends.” Another shopper commented: “Amazing gift for my loved one. He is very happy and uses it a lot. Thank you.” Drew&Cole’s Pressure King is also stocked at B&Q (£49.99), where further reviews and ratings from purchasers can be found. One consumer said: “Bought it without reading any of the reviews, which I never do but am so pleased with this pressure cooker. Cooked my roast in 50 minutes and it was so worth it. “Roasted the meat, potatoes at the same time while the rest of the ingredients were on the hob. Absolutely love it. And yes, I would definitely recommend it to anyone. So easy to use.” Another purchaser encountered problems with the dimensions. They stated: “This was too big for me, so I sent it back, but it appeared to be well made etc.” An additional shopper remarked: “Never used a pressure cooker before but highly recommend, and I am definitely saving on electric bills too.” A final purchaser commented: “I bought this pressure cooker and it is exactly what I was looking for. It cooks my meat very tender with a limited amount of time, and it doesn’t take away the flavour.”
