Burna Boy lands a career milestone on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, as the superstar picks up his first top 10 through his featured role on Gunna’s “wgft.”
The track climbs 11-10 on the list dated Sept. 20, in its fifth charting week, with gains in all three contributing metrics. For Gunna, “wgt” gives the rapper his 19th top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.

Digital sales, meanwhile, were a negligible number (under 500 copies), but also improved on last week’s sum.

As mentioned, “wgft” is Gunna’s 19th top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. It’s his third of 2025, after “Way It Is,” a collaboration with Justin Bieber, reached No. 10 in July and “Just Say Dat,” opened at its No. 10 high in August. Both “Just Say Dat” and “wgft” are from Gunna’s latest album, The Last Wun, which was released in August and has clocked three weeks at No. 1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.
For Burna Boy, his maiden top 10 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs comes via his second appearance. He, 21 Savage and Metro Boomin teamed up for “Just Like Me,” which notched a No. 28 best in January 2024.
While Burna Boy continues to build his Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs account, the Nigerian-based star counts many successes across other Billboard charts. Seven Billboard Hot 100 hits are among them, including solo singles “Last Last” (No. 44) and “Sittin’ on Top of the World,” (No. 80), which flipped samples from songs by Toni Braxton and Brandy, respectively. He’s also racked up 20 top 10 hits on Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs, which launched in 2022, and five albums on the all-genre Billboard 200, including Love, Damini, which peaked at No. 14 in July 2022.
Elsewhere, “wgft” ascends to two new peaks: 6-4 on Hot Rap Songs and 72-69 on the Hot 100.
