Hyderabad: A 50-year-old woman was brutally murdered in a high-rise apartment complex in Hyderabad’s Kukatpally. The victim, identified as Renu Agarwal, was found dead inside her flat on the 13th floor of the Swan Lake gated community. Police said on Thursday that the woman had been stabbed multiple times with household objects, including scissors and knives, and her throat had been slit. The crime was uncovered when her husband, Rakesh Agarwal, and their son returned home after being unable to reach her on the phone. With the help of a plumber, they entered the flat through the balcony and found Renu lying unconscious with her hands and legs tied. Preliminary investigation points to a man from Jharkhand, who had arrived in Hyderabad a week earlier for work, as the main suspect. CCTV cameras in the building captured the individual leaving the apartment around the time of the incident. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and further investigation in the case is underway.
