WEDNESDAY’S RESULTS Junior Varsity Flag Football
Eulalie Rivera K-8 School 18, Pearl B. Larsen K-8 School 6: The Rams defeated the Dolphins in their St. Croix Interscholastic Athletic Association league opener at the St. Croix Educational Complex stadium.
Jahmar Greaux threw for two touchdowns – one each caught by Azion Parris and Jariel Francis – for Rivera K-8 School (1-0), which also got a interception return for a touchdown from Parris to round out its scoring.
In addition to Parris’ “pick-6,” the Rams got five flags pulled by Jahmir Greaux and four by Assane Thaim on defense.
No information was available on who scored the lone touchdown for Larsen K-8 School (0-1).
Up next: Two games — both involving Wednesday’s opponents — are on the schedule for Monday, beginning at 4 p.m. Church of God Holiness Academy takes on Rivera K-8 School at the Central High School field, and Larsen K-8 plays at Good Hope Country Day School.
TUESDAY’S RESULTS Junior Varsity A Girls Volleyball
Church of God Holiness Academy 2, Free Will Baptist Christian School 0: Church of God defeated the Warriors in straight sets to win their St. Croix IAA league season-opening match.
Church of God (1-0) won over Free Will Baptist (0-1) by scores of 25-8 and 25-18.
Up next: Two matches are on the schedule for today, with both scheduled to begin at 4 p.m. John Woodson Junior High School plays Church of God Holiness Academy, while Pearl B. Larsen K-8 School takes on Eulalie Rivera K-8 School.
Elementary Flag Football
Alfredo Andrews Elementary School 34, Ricardo Richards Elementary School 26: The Blazers held off the Strawberries to win their St. Croix IAA league opener at the Good Hope Country Day School field.
Andrews Elementary is now 1-0, while Richards Elementary is 0-1.
No information was available on the scorers for either the Blazers or the Strawberries in Tuesday’s game.
