It features a stone port cochere, vaulted ceilings with exposed wooden beams and vast windows that frame a panorama of the Blue Ridge Mountains. And now, it also has the highest sale price ever recorded for a home within The Cliffs at Mountain Park.
The four-bedroom, 4,884-square-foot residence at 142 Cherokee Rose Trail closed Sept. 3 for $4.3 million, making it the highest-priced home ever to sell in the gated golf community near Marietta. Teresa Jones of Coldwell Banker Caine was the listing agent on the Dillard-Jones build, while JoAnn Roser of Cliffs Realty Sales represented the buyer.
Completed in 2019 and located on a 1.54-acre lot, the home complements its surroundings with a stone and wavy cedar plank exterior and cobblestone courtyard. The open concept living room features wide-plank custom finished oak floors, vaulted pine ceilings and a stone fireplace along with huge windows overlooking the mountains. The kitchen includes a 180-bottle wine cooler, a 9-foot center island with seating, and quartz and flamed granite countertops.
The main-level primary suite features pine ceilings and a private balcony, and a bath with heated floors and towel rack, a soaking tub and an oversized shower spa with multiple shower heads. The main level also includes an office or den area with vaulted ceilings, a fireplace, built-ins and French doors, as well as a dedicated area for an elevator.
The terrace level has a central rec room with a beamed ceiling, a stone fireplace, built-ins, a kitchenette with a walnut bar and reclaimed heart of pine ceilings. The screened porch features a fireplace, retractable screens and access to a grilling porch, while the property also boasts a pool, hot tub, firepit and covered patio with a fireplace and television.

Caine adds two to Spartanburg office
Coldwell Banker Caine recently added two new staff members to its Spartanburg office, welcoming Kristin Hunteman and Paula Findley as residential sales agents.
Hunteman brings more than 17 years of experience in the real estate industry, a career that has spanned sales, brokerage, mortgage lending, title and escrow, and corporate real estate. Findley brings a unique blend of personal experience, having spent years buying, selling and remodeling homes for herself and her family.
Hunteman began her real estate career by guiding more than 200 families through short sales after suffering through a short sale herself. “Kristin’s experience across nearly every facet of real estate, combined with her compassion and calm presence, make her an exceptional advocate for her clients,” said Angela Halstead, the firm’s senior vice president of sales and Spartanburg market executive.
Known for her concierge-level service and eye for design, Findley now guides clients through all stages of homeownership. “Paula’s dedication to her clients, combined with her design sense and strong negotiation skills, make her an incredible addition to our team,” said Amanda Hamet, president of Coldwell Banker Caine.

Greenville rental market bucks U.S. trend
The apartment market is slowing nationally — but not in Greenville, according to a recent report from researchers for the website RentCafe.com.
A total of 2,209 new rentals are expected in the metro Greenville area in 2025, according to the report, up 8.4 percent from the year prior. The metro area has passed greater Myrtle Beach in terms of new rentals expected this year, and is now second in the Palmetto State behind the 3,111 of metro Charleston.
