Motorists on the A9 have been warned of night-time closures while essential repairs are carried out on the Raigmore Interchange.
The northbound carriageway will be closing to traffic every night from October 13 to 24 to enable engineers to carry out works on the southern bridge over the interchange.
This will enable them to repair expansion joints and improve drainage on the bridge deck.
During the partial closure traffic will be diverted down the exit slip lane, through the interchange’s roundabout and then back up the lane on the other side.

Announcing the partial closure, a spokesperson for Bear Scotland, which maintains the A9 for the Scottish Government, said: “[We] will be undertaking essential maintenance works from Monday, October 13 to Friday, October 24 on the A9 Raigmore South Bridge, located on the A9 dual carriageway in Inverness, at the A9/A96 interchange.
“The work will involve repairing expansion joints and improving drainage on top of the bridge.
“To ensure the safety of both the workforce and the travelling public, it will be necessary to close the northbound carriageway each night from October 13 to 24, between 8pm and 6am.
“A signed diversion route will be in place via the A9/A96 interchange for all traffic during these closure times. The road will be fully reopened during the day.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community for their patience and understanding while these essential works are carried out.
“I trust this helps to explain the nature of the project and the efforts being made to minimise delays during the works.”
