Celtic will look to go one step closer to silverware this weekend as they make the short journey to Partick Thistle in the Premier Sports Cup quarter-finals at Firhill (kick-off: 3.30pm). Last weekend’s late 2-1 win at Kilmarnock helped Brendan Rodgers’ side return to the summit of the Scottish Premiership table, but their focus will return to the cup this weekend as the Hoops look to make the final four of a competition they have won a total of seven times in the last decade. Partick Thistle will head into the game hoping they can cause an upset after last week’s 2-1 win over Airdrieonians moved them into third position in the Scottish Championship and sealed their third consecutive win. Both managers have their fair share of injury concerns prior to the clash, with up to nine players potentially missing the game in Maryhill.
