Jubilee Insurance and the Grand Nairobi Bike Race (GNBR) have launched the 2025 edition of the Jubilee Live Free Race at Sanyuka Restaurant, Kampala.
The highly anticipated cycling extravaganza is scheduled for Sunday, 5th October 2025 at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi, one of Kenya’s most prominent sports venues, and will host more than 3,500 cyclists from over 20 nationalities.
Jubilee Insurance continues as the title sponsor, putting in KES 20 million towards the event, bringing the total investment to more than KES 100 Million since 2022, in both cash and in-kind contributions.
Since its inception in 2021, the Jubilee Live Free Race has grown significantly, providing a competitive platform for cyclists and serving as a powerful advocacy platform for physical activity, holistic wellbeing and environmental conservation.
The 2025 edition will also focus on promoting physical mobility for children and protecting the environment, causes that are central to the race’s philosophy of advancing freedom.
Freedom in health means ensuring that children can move, play, and live without limitations, while freedom for the future demands that we protect and restore the environment they will inherit.
While speaking during the launch, Jubilee Life Insurance Chief Operations Officer Dorcus Kuhimbisa noted that by supporting mobility and environmental stewardship, the Jubilee Live Free Race demonstrates that true freedom is not only about cycling, but about creating healthier, more sustainable lives and communities for generations to come.
The Jubilee Live Free Race has grown from a local event into a regional initiative that uses sport to unite people and promote health, wellbeing, and social good. We look forward to the positive impact this edition will have on participants and the wider community.

Uganda has been an active participant in the Jubilee Live Free Race since 2023, with cyclists from the country consistently showcasing strong performances and securing podium finishes across various categories.
Reflecting on this continued success, Dorcus Kuhimbisa said, “We are confident that this year will be no different, and we look forward to seeing our Ugandan participants push their limits, celebrate their achievements, and inspire even more peopleto experience the joy of cycling while contributing to healthier communities,” added Kuhimbisa.
