Amazon Prime Big Deal Days: Dates and deals for the big October sale revealed

Wallets at the ready: Amazon has announced another Prime sale for autumn.

Continuing its trend of holding an October sale, as it has done for the last two years, the event is back – and it promises to be bigger than ever.

Called Amazon Prime Big Deal Days, it will be the third big discount sale the retail giant has held this year, following a spring event and, of course, the flagship Amazon Prime Day, which took place in early July 2025.

A busy few months of hosting and celebrating lie ahead, so Amazon’s October sale offers an excellent time to replace tired appliances and electricals well ahead of the festive period.

Need a deeper freezer to store all your Halloween party canapes? A smart TV to hunker down in front of and watch winter movies with family? Or how about an air fryer to help make Christmas lunch this year? Amazon will have it all, and then some.

The event will kick off on October 7, running until midnight on October 8. That means 48 hours of epic deals, plenty of time to cross off everything on your wishlist.

Like the tentpole Amazon Prime Day held in the summer, this event is open to Prime members only. If you haven’t signed up yet, now’s the perfect time to do it – you won’t be able to take advantage of the deals otherwise.

This year, Amazon has promised savings of up to 40 per cent across all categories: think home, kitchen, electronics, toys, fashion, and beauty & self-care and across popular brands such as Crocs, De’Longhi, Levi’s, Ninja, and OURA.

As someone who has paid for a subscription for more than six years, I can wholeheartedly vouch for its use.

From watching blockbuster releases on Prime Video (not to mention viral shows like The Summer I Turned Pretty and The Girlfriend) to ordering last-minute home improvement tools when I want to DIY over the weekend, my Prime membership is one of the most used subscriptions I have.

Members also have access to endless reading materials in Amazon Reading, while gamers can plug into Amazon’s Twitch service, a huge library of epic games to discover, download and get lost in. There are lots of other perks too, like free Deliveroo delivery and money off recipe boxes.

It’s priced at £8.99 a month, or £95 for an annual fee, which works out to just 26p a day (on the yearly option). If you’re in education, Student Prime memberships cost £4.49 a month, or £47.49 annually, so if you’ve got a student living under your roof, why not get them to sign up for the whole household and save half price on standard membership fees?

The other option is to sign up for a free trial to see how you like it – and take advantage of those juicy October Prime Big Deal Days while you’re at it.

On Amazon, deals are a daily occurrence. While they’re not at sale prices just yet, I’ve spied plenty of bargains ready to be scooped up right now, across home, tech, furniture, food and drink and more.
