Chance to stand out in east business awards

East Auckland companies and enterprises are encouraged to put their work in the spotlight as nominations are called for next year’s RSM East Auckland Business Awards.

Ruth White, general manager of organisers Business East Tāmaki, says the 2026 RSM East Auckland Business Awards “are officially returning, following the success of the inaugural event in 2024”.

“East Auckland businesses – it’s time to shine! Brought to you by Business East Tāmaki in partnership with RSM and with the support of the Howick Local Board, the awards celebrate innovation, creativity, and excellence across a wide range of industries that make up the vibrant east Auckland business community.”

White says entries for the 2026 RSM East Auckland Business Awards open from next Monday, September 22, and close in mid-November.

The awards event will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Pakuranga United Rugby Club.

“Now is the time for businesses to start thinking about what makes them stand out.

“From fresh start-ups to long-established enterprises, the awards are an opportunity to celebrate the innovation, resilience, and contribution of east Auckland’s business community.”

The awards will again feature the categories of Innovation, Sustainability, Community Impact, Hospitality and Retail, Healthcare and Wellness, Industry and Manufacturing, and Best New Business.

White says responding to feedback, the Professional Services category has been expanded into three distinct awards for 2026: Excellence in Business and Advisory; Excellence in Digital and Creative Services; and Excellence in Trade and Specialty Services.

“East Auckland is home to an incredible variety of businesses, all driving innovation, resilience, and success in our region.

“It’s exciting to see the awards grow to reflect that diversity and showcase the talent shaping our business community.”

Companies and enterprises must be a member or associate member of Business East Tāmaki to enter the 2026 RSM East Auckland Business Awards.

Businesses connected through associate groups – The Click and Botany Town Centre – are also eligible to participate.

“Businesses are encouraged to nominate themselves as well as their business neighbours across the 10 award categories,” White says.

“Nominations are a great way to show support for local businesses and highlight their contribution to the community.

“Once nominated, businesses will be contacted and can decide whether to formally enter by completing an entry form.

“Businesses can enter as many categories as they wish, provided a separate entry form is completed for each category.”
