Suzzy Pinamang, the Ghanaian Senior High School student who survived a tragic shooting mishap that left her with a severe eye injury, has shared a great update on her situation.

In the video spotted by YEN.com.gh, the schoolgirl, currently in London, had successfully gone through a medical review and has been issued a go-ahead to resume her studies.

The medical review was done at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London between September 10 and 16, 2025. Her doctor expressed his delight with her progress just over three months after her operation in early June, 2025.

YEN.com.gh had earlier reported that following the unfortunate incident, Sizzy was flown to the United Kingdom for specialised treatment that was fully sponsored by Ghanaian business mogul and philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama.

The medical review carried out confirmed that Suzzy is quickly responding to treatment and showing significant improvement in her vision and overall healing. The doctor also added that Suzzy has been a ‘brave girl’ and is exceeding all expectations.

According to him, she is now able to do things on her own and has successfully returned to school.

“She’s seen great improvement. I’m very happy with it. I mean, I think she’s done so much better than we all expected, so… and you can see with the big smile on her face, she’s doing everything on her own now, she’s gone back to school, and I’m sure she’s going to do very well in her studies.”

They advised her to continue the routine checkups and always have protective care to ensure long-term recovery.

The great news was when the doctos cleared her for schooling, with plans to enroll her in a new school. This is also said to be supported by the Ibrahim Mahama Global Foundation.

Suzzy herself also expressed her gratitude to God for her successful surgery, which she was told had a “50/50” chance of success. She also extended her heartfelt thanks to Ghanaian philanthropist Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for financing her entire treatment.
