NOTICE OF UPDATED BUDGET SUMMARY PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Education of Crete Public Schools (76-0002), Saline County, Nebraska, in compliance with State Statute §§ 13-501 to 13-513, met in regular session on Monday, September 8, 2025, and approved a budget that differs from the version originally published in the Lincoln Journal Star on Sunday, August 31, 2025. The updated budget includes the following changes: General Fund Budget from $37,678,324 to $37,978,324; General Fund Tax Requirement from $15,843,101 to $16,161,616; Activity Fund Budget from $1,076,335 to $1,079,049; School Nutrition Budget from $1,819,560.87 to $2,000,000; Bond Fund Tax Requirement from $1,835,924.99 to $1,835,926; Special Building Fund Budget from $2,312,734.37 to $3,360,000; and Special Building Fund Tax Requirement from $718,457 to $1,444,684. These increases are due to reduced carryover of resources from the prior fiscal year to the new, a higher-than-anticipated forecast for costs and inputs in the upcoming year, and the district’s commitment to continue funding important projects through the Special Building Fund. 1263526 9/19 ZNEZ
