The Truth Behind Robo Shankar’s Sudden Death – Was It Organ Failure?

Robo Shankar, the popular comedian who rose to fame through television comedy shows, later made his mark on the silver screen with his humorous roles.
While balancing a busy career in both film and television, he was hospitalised a few years ago due to jaundice and experienced significant weight loss. After a period of recovery, he gradually returned to acting in films and TV programmes.
On Tuesday, while filming for the movie Godzilla in Duraipakkam, Chennai, he suddenly vomited blood and collapsed on set. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Perungudi, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit and received emergency treatment.
Tragically, despite the medical team’s efforts, Robo Shankar passed away. His body has been brought to his residence in Valasaravakkam, where it has been placed for public tributes.
Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin paid his respects in person, along with actor Dhanush and several other film industry figures.
The private hospital where he was treated has released a statement regarding the cause of death. According to the hospital, Robo Shankar was admitted on the 16th of the month with gastrointestinal bleeding and multiple organ failure. His condition was critical, with severe damage to his stomach, and he was placed in intensive care. Despite ongoing treatment, his health continued to deteriorate, and he passed away at 9:05 pm last night.
His final rites are scheduled to take place today at 4:30 pm. Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, Leader of the Opposition Edappadi K. Palaniswami, Union Minister of State L. Murugan, actor Kamal Haasan, and others have expressed their condolences on his passing.
