The Green Bay Packers have a reason to feel confident about their 2025 season.
After all, they are among the undefeated teams remaining through two weeks of action. While the sample size is small, the Packers’ 2-0 record came at the expense of two quality teams in the Detroit Lions and the Washington Commanders, who both made it to the NFL playoffs in the 2024 campaign.
In any case, Packers left tackle Rasheed Walker has complete belief in Green Bay — not just to win a bunch of games, but to emerge victorious in all of them.
“I think we can go undefeated, honestly,” Walker said on Wednesday, per Dave Schroeder of WBAY-TV Sports.
“Pound for pound, I look at these teams and I don’t really see who is better than us.”
That is a bold statement from Walker, but there’s an argument to be made that Green Bay has earned to think that way, given the success they’ve had in the first couple of weeks. Still, going undefeated is a historically difficult feat to pull off in the NFL. The 1972 Miami Dolphins remain as the only team in the history of the league to pull off a perfect, undefeated season.
