Aces vs. Storm: Game 3 matchup
The Storm forced the do-or-die Game 3 with a late comeback in Tuesday’s Game 2 to hand the Aces their first loss in 18 games. Seattle was a 5.5-point underdog in that one and trailed by 12 points with just over seven minutes remaining before chipping away and winning late on a hoop-and-foul by Dominique Malonga with 31 seconds remaining and a key Skylar Diggins bucket in the lane with 4.7 seconds left.
Diggins led all scorers with 26 points on 10-of-20 shooting, and Nneka Ogwumike added 24 to help the Storm stave off elimination. The Aces, who are 8.5-point favorites Thursday night, were led by Jackie Young’s 25 points and A’ja Wilson’s 21-point, 13-rebound double-double on Tuesday night.
