When Is LeBron James Retiring? Lakers Star Speaks Out on Exit Rumors

LeBron James has finally addressed the one question fans have been asking for years, how much longer will he play? At 40 years old and entering his 23rd NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers star opened up about the end of his career in a rare and cryptic message during his appearance on 360 With Speedy.
“I know I am on the other side of the hump, for sure,” James admitted, acknowledging what many already suspected. “Come on now, I’m not gonna play another 23 years, that’s for damn sure. And I’m not gonna play another ten. So, I’m definitely gearing up to where the end is. I’m not there yet.”

The comments come after years of speculation. James has often insisted that he doesn’t want to linger in the league past his prime, refusing to retire as a “shell” of the player he once was. Yet, despite picking up new hobbies like golf and launching business ventures, he stressed that doesn’t mean he’s walking away. “Listen guys, every time I pick up something new, it does not mean retirement… But retirement is coming, it is coming. It’s just not here yet.”
