Golf: Jason Fields, Jacob Hillman, Oliver Kirby medal in leading Taconic, Greylock and Lenox to wins

GREAT BARRINGTON — Taconic joined Monument Mountain and Mount Everett for a tri-meet at the Spartans’ and Eagles’ shared home course of Wyantenuck Country Club, and the Thunder made themselves right at home.

Led by Jason Fields’ medalist round of 1-under 35, Taconic dropped a season-low 155. Gavin Maffuccio and Ethan Bishop both dropped 39, with Charley Driscoll’s 43 rounding out the scoring.

Fields birdied the fifth, eighth and 10th holes. Maffuccio had a birdie on No. 6.

Liam Smith and Kasen Raifstanger led Monument with matching 42s. Smith birdied the first hole.

Johnny Ireland was the low golfer for Mount Everett with a 47.

Greylock 163, Lee 187

LEE — Mount Greylock’s Jacob Hillman put in a medalist round of 37 to lead the Mounties by Lee at Greenock Country Club on Monday.

The Mounties kept rolling off Friday’s win over Wahconah, while fending off Joey Abderhalden (40) and the Wildcats.

Abderhalden had a birdie on the fifth hole, while teammate Rydel Drenga birdied the fourth.

LENOX — Oliver Kirby birdied three of his nine holes and finished one stroke under Hoosac’s Zack Mongeon to earn medalist honors on Monday at Wyndhurst.

Kirby’s round was joined by three other Millionaires carding under 45, delivering a decisive win over the Hurricanes.

Kirby birdied the third, seventh and ninth holes, and that No. 9 was the difference as Mongeon also birdied the third and seventh.

Mia Freeman birdied the fourth hole and Colman Keator the first for Lenox, while Brayden Clark had a birdie on No. 5 for Hoosac.
