Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman running again

Lancaster County Engineer Pam Dingman announced this week she will seek a fourth term in 2026.
The Republican was first appointed to the position in 2013 and elected to a third term in 2022.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve Lancaster County as the County Engineer,” Dingman said in a Wednesday news release announcing her reelection bid. “I take my responsibility to the taxpayers very seriously and have worked to bring efficiency and effective decision-making to the County Engineer’s office.”
Since taking office, Dingman said she has secured more than $70 million in federal aid to fix and improve Lancaster County’s roads and broads. Her office has also increased the number of paved roads by 40 lane miles and completed 344 lane miles of pavement maintenance, built 42 new bridges and replaced 422 culverts, according to the release.
Dingman was also engineer during the flooding of 2019, when Lancaster County had to close 42 damaged bridges. As of this past spring, all of those bridges have been rebuilt or repaired, Dingman said.
“Making sure the roads and bridges in Lancaster County meet modern standards and are safe for travel is of the utmost importance in our office,” Dingman continued. “The engineering team takes great pride in helping improve infrastructure across Lancaster County.”
The Nebraska primary election is May 12, 2026, and the general election is Nov. 3, 2026.
