The iPhone 17 is officially here. iPhone 17 pre-orders start this Friday (September 12) with availability set for the following Friday (September 19). Apple’s new flagships were announced at the recent Apple keynote and include a new member of the family — the iPhone Air.
I track deals for a living and below I’ll be rounding up all of the best iPhone 17 pre-order deals. In terms of pricing, Apple’s lineup includes the 6.3-inch iPhone 17 ($799), 6.5-inch iPhone Air ($999), iPhone 17 Pro ($1,099), and the iPhone 17 Pro Max ($1,199). Absent from the announcement was the iPhone 17 Plus, which has been dropped.
As far as iPhone 17 pre-order deals are concerned, none are live, but the Apple Store has posted the deals you can expect come Friday. If you opt to buy from Apple, you can get a trade-in credit from $40 (for an iPhone 8) to $700 (for an iPhone 16 Pro Max).
If you opt to buy from a carrier, you can get up to $1,100 in credits with trade-in of an eligible device in any condition. Below is a break down of the deals that are confirmed for Friday. (Make sure to follow our iPhone 17 live blog for a recap of the day’s announcements).

iPhone 17: free w/ trade-in + unlimited @ AT&T
New and existing AT&T members can pick up an iPhone 17 for free with trade-in. You’ll need to be signed up to one of AT&T’s qualifying unlimited plans to get this deal.
iPhone 17: free w/ new line + unlimited @ Verizon
Verizon is offering some of the best iPhone 17 deals I’ve seen. Simply open a new line with an eligible unlimited data plan and you’ll get your iPhone 17 for free.
iPhone 17: free w/ trade-in + unlimited @ T-Mobile
The Magenta network is offering the iPhone 17 for free (upto $999 off) when you trade-in an old device and sign up for a qualifying unlimited data plan.
iPhone 17: up to $700 w/ trade-in @ Apple Store
The Apple Store is offering up to a $700 credit when you trade-in your old smartphone for one of the new iPhone 17 models. For example, an iPhone 13 will get you up to a $200 credit, whereas an iPhone 16 will get you up to a $450 credit.
iPhone Air: up to $830 off w/ trade-in + unlimited @ AT&T
New and existing AT&T members can get an iPhone Air for up to $830 off over a 36-month installment plan. You’ll need to be signed up to one of AT&T’s qualifying unlimited plans to get this deal.
iPhone Air: free w/ new line + unlimited @ Verizon
Verizon’s iPhone Air deals are here. Simply open a new line with an eligible unlimited data plan and you’ll get your iPhone Air for free.
iPhone Air: free w/ trade-in + unlimited @ T-Mobile
T-Mobile is offering the iPhone Air for free (up to $1,100 off) when you trade-in an old device and sign up for a qualifying unlimited data plan.
iPhone 17 Pro
iPhone 17 Pro: free w/ trade-in + unlimited @ T-Mobile
T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 17 Pro for free when you trade-in an old device and sign up for an eligible unlimited data plan.
