Black Princesses face Tunisia in U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier

Ghana’s Black Princesses campaign to Poland for their eighth consecutive appearance at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup begins with showdown against Tunisia.

The match, scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025, is part of the second-round qualifiers.

The Black Princesses were exempted from the first round due to their participation in the previous U-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica.

Coach Charles Sampson’s side will travel to Tunis for the first leg following an intensive preparations at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram with the return leg on Sunday, September 28,2025.

He has named a 20-member travelling squad for the encounter, which also includes former Hasaacas Ladies forward Mercy Attobrah.

The team departed Ghana in the early hours of Thursday, September 18, with Attobrah expected to join the rest of the squad in Tunisia.

The Black Princesses who are determined to make a breakthrough beyond the group stages that has eluded them in seven prior World Cups, must first be focused on sealing a spot to the global showpiece in Poland.
