Police Still on the Hunt for Possibly Injured Gunmen
Police are on the lookout tonight for two men who opened fire on a vehicle in Corozal Town Friday night. According to investigators, Jose Vela and Eduardo Gutierrez were driving when two men on a motorcycle pulled up and started shooting. In a daring move, the driver rammed the motorcycle, sending the gunmen crashing to the ground. But instead of sticking around, the suspects took off on foot. Head of the National Crime Investigation Branch, ACP Hilberto Romero, says the men may have been injured and could have sought medical attention; but so far, police haven’t been able to track them down.
