Director General of Police (DGP) Jitender said students should take inspiration from the achievements of successful Indians across the world while revealing that Indian population in the United States of America is just 2% but they contribute 8% of the America’s GDP.
The DGP was delivering the annual Inspirational Lecture of the Nalanada Educational Institutions in Vengalrao Nagar on Thursday. The programme is a platform designed to bring India’s iconic leaders, thinkers, and change-makers face-to-face with students.
Mr. Jitender inspired the student audience with his journey of unwavering discipline, ethical leadership, and commitment to public service, and described the lecture series an idea to create a generation of leaders who are guided by wisdom, values, and resilience.
The DGP said each student carries Lord Hanuman in himself with huge potential but don’t realise their strength unless reminded. Schools and teachers play the crucial role of making students understand their potential and trigger it, he said.
He said students, apart from excelling in academics, must possess strong values and character as education is not only about acquiring knowledge but also about shaping personality with self-discipline and ethical values.
Ram Babu, civil services trainer; Nalanda Group chairman Srinivas Raju Manthena and director Surya Manthena were present on the occasion.
