Aer Lingus has already announced several new routes to the US in the last year including Las Vegas, Nashville and Indianapolis and now another route is on the way.
Launching on April 13, the airline will fly from Dublin to Raleigh-Durham in North Carolina and will operate up to five times weekly.
The new route brings Aer Lingus’ North American destinations to 26, as the airline continues to expand its long-haul network.
Next summer will also see the introduction of a third daily flight from Dublin to both New York JFK and Boston, alongside a daily summer service to Orlando.
These expansions are part of Aer Lingus’ strategy to position Dublin Airport as a key hub for connecting passengers and transatlantic travel.
The Raleigh-Durham route is expected to attract both business and leisure travelers, with fares starting at €299 each way. It will also cater to sports fans, as the University of North Carolina (UNC) heads to Dublin next August for the Aer Lingus College Football Classic, taking on Texas Christian University (TCU).
Aer Lingus started flying to Nashville four times a week directly from Dublin in April, with prices starting from €499 return.
The airline started flights to Indianapolis last May.
