‘Don’t Tease Me With A Good Time’: Jessie J Reveals New Album Release Date

Musician Jessie J has announced plans to release her sixth studio record, Don’t Tease Me with a Good Time. The news was released on Wednesday, 17 September, through Instagram Stories, with the release scheduled for Friday, 28 November. This is the news for fans to get excited about, with songs lined up as “No Secret,” “Believe in Magic,” “And the Award Goes To,” and “Living My Best Life.”
Pre-orders have also become available on CD and vinyl, with Jessie hinting, “There’s some signed stuff and there’s lots of things happening.” The release coincides with the singer celebrating her return to action after breast cancer surgery.
Health Battle and Tour Changes
Jessie J had also put off her UK and European Acoustic Tour dates and cancelled American shows when she learned of her breast cancer diagnosis, which called for a second operation. A press release made available to PEOPLE on August 28 quoted her as saying: “Unfortunately, I have to have a second operation, nothing too bad, but it has to be done before the end of this year. This comes in the middle of the tour I had planned. I’m so sorry, I feel frustrated and sad, but I need to get better, I need to heal.”
The rescheduled UK and European dates will now occur in April 2026, with US tickets automatically being refunded at the point of sale.
Jessie J Shares Her Journey
Jessie J revealed in June, through social media, that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and that this was before she released the single “No Secrets” in April. She was later reflecting on her time: “I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period,” adding that she would “be gone for a little while after Summertime Ball to have my surgery.”
Weeks afterwards, she posted to fans that she was “7 weeks post breast cancer surgery” and stated, “I’m still in the thick of recovery and my body is still finding its way. But I LOVE music and I LOVE my life and I want to LIVE in the moment.”
Triumphant Return to the Stage
Jessie also performed at the BBC Radio 2 In the Park festival in England on 6 September, which was a special experience for her two-year-old son, Sky Safir, whom she has with boyfriend Chanan Safir Colman. This was the first time Sky had ever seen his mother perform live.
Addressing the audience, Jessie revealed, “The last concert I performed, I had no idea what was going to go down, and I’m still, you know, in recovery phase, but I’m definitely not ready for Babins. I mean, I am, but my doctors are like ‘calm down, girl’. Do you know what I mean, you can take the girl out of Essex, put her back into Essex.”
She went on, “I’m so thankful to be here. You have no idea how thankful I am to have all of you singing along all these years later. It really feels like I’m a little kid. Doing what I love all this time,” underscoring the emotional value of the performance for her and her son.
