The police have arrested a fifth suspect in the investigation into the death of the twin brother of the singer S10. A 35-year-old man from Rotterdam was arrested on suspicion of manslaughter and “deprivation of liberty resulting in death,” the police have reported. He is being held under restrictions, meaning that his attorney is the only person he is allowed contact with.
The singer’s 24-year-old brother was found severely injured on the roof of a garage at the bottom of an apartment complex in Osdorper Ban, Amsterdam, on April 16. The man from Hoorn passed away from his injuries two months later, after spending weeks in a coma.
The victim’s mother told De Telegraaf months ago that the incident likely resulted from a conflict in the criminal underworld, stating that her son had been in troublesome situations since he was 12. S10 has not issued any responses to the death of her brother, she recently stated that she is ready to perform again.
The Public Prosecution Service stated that they believe the man was being held in the apartment against his will and saw no other way out than to jump from the balcony, as emerged earlier this month during a preliminary hearing against one of the other suspects.
Four suspects have been arrested in the case so far, two of whom remain in custody. Both these suspects are from Hoorn.
