A shocking video of an HDFC Bank employee has left many furious online. In the clip, a woman staff member, Anuradha Varma, can be heard speaking rudely to a customer, who is reportedly an Indian Army soldier, during a phone call about a loan. Instead of handling the matter politely, she used insulting words and even questioned his education. The tone of the conversation was filled with threats and harsh comments, which sparked outrage.
Social media users were upset that a bank employee, who is supposed to stay calm and professional, spoke rudely, especially to a soldier. People are now demanding that the bank take strict action against her and ensure such behaviour is not repeated.

In the viral clip, the woman can be heard saying, “If you were educated, you would be working in a good company, but you’ve been sent to the border. That’s why your children are born disabled and people like you end up becoming martyrs. I also belong to a defence family, so what will you teach me? If you really belonged to a big family, you wouldn’t be taking loans of Rs 15–16 Lakhs. Don’t give lectures. You’re living on loans and trying to give me advice? You struggle to return even 5000 and act like it’s a big deal. Don’t show off in front of me. Do whatever you want, am I your servant? You gave me a challenge, right? Now show me if you can do it.”
The video posted on X came with the caption, “Listen to the viral audio. I don’t know why the fight happened. But the alleged HDFC Bank female employee went to the extreme of misbehaving with a military personnel over a loan. Not only that, she insulted the entire army and the martyrs, hurled abuses. She thoroughly humiliated those who take loans. Those taking loans, be cautious.”

Public Demands Strict Action Against Employee
Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “How can she talk to defence personnel? HDFC Bank, please take strict action against her on an immediate basis and terminate her.”
Another shared, “I don’t know the reason for the quarrel yet, but this woman is talking very rudely to HDFC Bank. She’s no one to comment on anyone’s kids.”
“Shame on this Girl and her family, who didn’t teach her the manners of speaking. Shame on BANKS who have employed such an employee,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “The name of the bank isn’t there in the recording, nor is there any name of the employee. It appears it is a loan collection call by a collection agency executive. Unpardonable conduct of the woman on the phone, but unfair to accuse a particular bank without further facts and verification.”
One more added, “As of now, it’s not clear what caused the argument and HDFC Bank has not made any official statement yet.”
