Kate Middleton's 'favourite meal' to cook for Prince William - and it's very British

Catherine might be occupied with her duties as a senior royal, but that hasn’t prevented her from enjoying one of her cherished pastimes. The Princess of Wales is reported to love unwinding following a lengthy day by preparing meals for her household.

Unlike the late Queen, who preferred to utilise the expertise of private chefs for nearly every meal, Catherine will whip up a feast for her spouse Prince William and youngsters Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Whilst Catherine is reported to have a taste for the spicier aspects of cuisine, favouring a fiery vegetable curry when she’s not adhering to her regular eating plan, Prince William has a considerably more mild personal preferred dish.

As a passionate cook, the Princess is reported to create her Royal spouse roast chicken which is claimed to be his top dinner choice. Royal correspondent Katie Nicholl revealed to Vanity Fair regarding the Princess: “In the evenings she indulges her hobby of cooking William’s favourite supper, roast chicken.”

The Prince’s fondness for roasts suggests it’s probable that the Wales family have a rather comparable family dining routine to numerous households throughout the nation, with a Sunday roast being virtually assured in some homes.

Despite roast chicken being William’s preference, the Royal family have been reported to relish a range of cuisines including Italian pasta creations, pizza and steak.

William himself admitted that whilst he is “not very good” at cooking, he can is pleased to grill up a steak preferring it medium-rare. During a visit to St Luke’s Community Centre in London, Kate was seen joining her children in a pizza-making session.

She shared about the experience: “I’ve done that with George and Charlotte – making pizza dough. They love it because they can get their hands messy.”

This week the Princess of Wales revealed a touching tribute to her children when she visited a leading textile manufacturer – a necklace bearing their initials.

Kate was pictured wearing the personalised jewellery when she tried her hand at silk screen printing at Marina Mill in Kent and joked she had not attempted the craft since her school days.

The family-run firm was founded in 1967 by husband and wife Keith and Steph Rawkins, who first designed fashion textiles during the heady days of swinging London, but today produce exclusive hand-printed furnishing fabrics which have graced royal homes.

Their children Guy and Tandine have taken over business which supplies handmade textiles that feature in interior design. The princess arrived wearing a grey tartan trouser suit and black top, but donned a branded T-shirt from the textile firm, based in Cuxton near Rochester, and an apron.

Her necklace stood out against the black T-shirt with the initials G, C and L for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
