Last week’s rankings in parentheses.
1. Philadelphia Eagles (1). Finding ways to win, which as Jalen Hurts pointed out to Chris Jones, is the most important thing.
2. Buffalo Bills (2). Did what they were expected to do against an inferior opponent – dominated them.
3. Green Bay Packers (3). Looking ahead, could easily be 8-0 going into a Week 10 game against Philadelphia.
4. Baltimore Ravens (4). Browns held Derrick Henry to 23 yards on 11 carries – and the Ravens still won by 24.
5. Los Angeles Chargers (6). The elbow injury suffered by the pride of UB, Khalil Mack, is a concern.
6. Detroit Lions (8). We might have been a bit premature in sharing our concerns about the Lions – they dropped a 50 burger on the Bears.
7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (11). Baker Mayfield took a beating Monday night, but came through in the clutch.
8. Washington Commanders (5). Jayden Daniels also took a beating – so much so that the second-year quarterback’s status for Week 3 is iffy.
9. Kansas City Chiefs (7). A 1-3 start to the season is very possible, because after a layup against the Giants, the Chiefs get the Ravens in Week 4.
10. Los Angeles Rams (10). A divisional playoff rematch in Week 3 at the Eagles will tell us a lot about how “for real” the Rams are.
11. Cincinnati Bengals (14). It’s on backup quarterback Jake Browning to keep them afloat until Joe Burrow returns. It’s a tall task.
12. Arizona Cardinals (16). Haven’t looked all that dominant in two wins over bad teams (Saints, Panthers), but 2-0 is still 2-0.
13. San Francisco 49ers (13). Back-to-back road wins is a good way to start any season. Next: A key, early season divisional game against the Cardinals.
14. Indianapolis Colts (24). They are one win away from me really having to take them seriously.

15. Denver Broncos (9). Brutal way to lose with a penalty giving the Colts another chance at a field goal. The AFC West looks tough.
16. Dallas Cowboys (17). Win over the Giants may go down as the most ridiculous game of the year.
17. Seattle Seahawks (21). Impressive bounce-back performance on the road at Pittsburgh – now, will the real Seahawks please stand up?
18. Atlanta Falcons (23). Running game rebounded in a big way, led by Bijan Robinson (143 yards).
19. New England Patriots (26). Drake Maye looked like the real deal against Miami, completing 19 passes against just four incompletions.
20. Minnesota Vikings (12). An ankle injury will keep J.J. McCarthy out of the lineup for a bit, which may not be a bad thing for the young quarterback.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers (15). What happened to the Steelers’ defense? It’s No. 29 in both yards and points allowed through two weeks.
22. Houston Texans (18). Maybe C.J. Stroud just isn’t as good as we collectively thought he was after his rookie year.
23. Las Vegas Raiders (19). Geno Smith was picked off three times Monday night against the Chargers. That makes it tough to win.
24. Jacksonville Jaguars (20). Unable to get the job done against the Bengals after Joe Burrow left with an injury.
25. Chicago Bears (22). Sure looks like the same old Bears through two weeks. The good news is Rome Odunze looks like a stud.
26. New York Jets (25). Aaron Glenn coached very scared against the Bills. That’s not a good sign moving forward.
27. Tennessee Titans (28). Just 1 for 5 in the red zone through two games means they are settling for way too many field goals.
28. Carolina Panthers (27). Ugly showing for quarterback Bryce Young. Ugly showing for the defense. Ugly showing all around against Jacksonville.
29. Miami Dolphins (29). If they no-show against the Bills, will owner Stephen Ross make a bold move and fire Mike McDaniel with an extended break before Week 4?
30. New York Giants (30). Absurd stat line for Russell Wilson. Absurd they found a way to lose against Dallas.
31. New Orleans Saints (32). Say this for the Saints: At least they have been competitive.
32. Cleveland Browns (31). The quarterback situation is bleak, to put it lightly.
