Studies say vitamin E supplements protect your liver cells from oxidative damage and are mostly focused on the treatment of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, or NASH patients, who have fatty liver disease with inflammation. However, it is also important to take these supplements only under medical supervision, as excessive consumption can produce adverse effects. Betaine Betaine benefits your liver as it helps reduce fatty liver disease and alcoholic liver disease – by improving mitochondrial function and protecting against oxidative stress and fibrosis. Doctors say it has hepatoprotective effects, which are linked to its roles as a methyl donor and its influence on hepatic lipid metabolism and the gut-liver axis. N-Acetyl Cysteine N-Acetyl Cysteine, or NAC, is an antioxidant that helps protect your liver cells through detoxification of dangerous substances. According to studies, NAC supplements lower liver inflammation and enhance liver enzyme measurements, which helps in cell repair through their ability to boost glutathione levels. However, doctors recommend taking this supplement only under medical supervision because the supplement is safe, but long-term use needs proper monitoring.
