At a residence in Dublin 11, gardaà seized approximately 12kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €840,000. A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda station in the DMR West under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
At another residence in Dublin 15, gardaà seized a further 5.5kg of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of €375,000. A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and also detained at a Garda station in the DMR West under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
Both men have since been charged and are due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court at 10.30am on Thursday.
The drugs seized will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
A garda spokesperson said investigations are ongoing.
