Ampere, the electric two-wheeler brand of Greaves Electric Mobility, launched the Magnus Grand electric scooter on Wednesday, introducing Lithium Ferro Phosphate (LFP) battery technology with a five-year or 75,000 km warranty. The scooter is priced at ₹89,999 ex-showroom.
The Magnus Grand builds on the Magnus Neo platform, which achieved recognition for a 2,300 km Bangalore-Delhi journey. The new model features a dual frame chassis and targets urban families with enhanced safety and comfort features.
Key specifications include a refreshed digital display, strengthened grab rail, advanced braking technology, and spacious seating designed for higher payload capacity. The scooter comes in two premium dual-tone colors – Matcha Green and Ocean Blue – with gold finish badging.
“The Magnus Grand represents a significant leap forward for Greaves by aiming to redefine urban mobility,” said Vikas Singh, Managing Director of Greaves Electric Mobility. The company emphasized the scooter’s focus on real-world performance and family-friendly features.
Greaves Electric Mobility, a subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Limited, has over 16 years of electric vehicle manufacturing experience and serves more than 300,000 riders. The company filed a draft red herring prospectus with SEBI in December 2024 for a proposed initial public offering.
The launch comes as India’s electric vehicle market continues expanding, with established players introducing upgraded models featuring improved battery technology and extended warranties.
The shares of Greaves Cotton Limited were trading at ₹224.76 up by ₹2.80 or 1.26 per cent on the NSE today at 11.55 am.
