Tata Consultancy Services has secured a five-year contract with Vodafone Idea to transform the telecom operator’s business support systems through an AI-powered platform. The deal, announced on September 18, 2025, aims to enhance customer experience capabilities through automation and personalisation.
The transformation will be built on TCS’s flagship products, TCS HOBS and TCS TwinX. TCS HOBS will serve as the digital backbone for business support systems, while TCS TwinX will provide AI and machine learning-powered intelligence with scenario simulation capabilities. The unified platform is designed to accelerate service delivery and provide flexibility to adapt to changing customer requirements.
Jagbir Singh, Chief Technology Officer at Vodafone Idea, said the partnership represents a transformative journey to redefine customer experience by modernising BSS platforms with AI-driven innovation. The initiative aims to deliver faster, smarter and more personalised digital experiences.
Long-term partnership
Ujjwal Mathur, President and Country Head for India Business at TCS, highlighted that the transformation program builds on a 15-year relationship between the two companies. TCS brings over 25 years of expertise in supporting communications, media and information services businesses across 45 countries, serving more than one billion telecom subscribers globally through 105 delivery locations.
The partnership aligns with TCS’s vision of accelerating India’s progress through indigenous solutions designed for global deployment.
The shares of Tata Consultancy Services Limited were trading at 3,174.70, up by ₹1.90 or 0.06 per cent, on the NSE today at 11.58 am, and those of Vodafone Idea Limited were trading at ₹7.84, up by ₹0.07 or 0.90 per cent.
