After facing major defeat in the recent confrontation with India during Operation Sindoor Pakistan is focusing on strengthening its military power. Pakistani defence expert are comparing 2022 made Taimur cruise missile with SCALP missile that caused terrible devastation in Pak in Operation Sindoor. But is Taimur missile that powerful? The cruise missile was unveiled in the year 2022. It is an air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) which means it is launched from fighter planes and is developed for precision attacks. The missile has been developed by Pakistani Global Industrial and Defense Solution (GIDS). The Pak experts are comparing the missile with French SCALP Turkeys MBDA Storm. Taimur Cruise Missile
Taimur cruise missile has been built by Pakistan to counter India’s defence systems. 4.38 meters long and weighs around 1100 kg the missile is capable of attacking at cruise sub-sonic speed.
The range of this missile is 600 km with 250 km effective stand-off strike. Islamabad claims that the missile is capable of carrying a nuclear warhead and is equipped with advanced imaging infrared (IIR) seeker features giving Pak a strategic edge in the Indo-Pacific region. The cruise missile is said to be equipped with multi-guidance system and low-observability technology.
