Meeting an old friend while traveling on a bus or flight is a pleasant surprise, a chance to rekindle a friendship, and an opportunity to create a unique travel story. It might also lead to reminiscing, sharing new experiences and potentially planning future meetups. And something like that recently happened with Content creator Kabita Singh, known for her food videos, who had a surprising encounter with stand-up comedian Gaurav Kapoor during her Pune-New Delhi flight.
Kabita had won the Best Creators in the food category at the National Creators Award in 2024, which was presented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Gaurav, on the other hand, is known for his clean and rib-tickling comedy.
Gaurav Kapoor Gets Caught In A ‘Sting Operation’
Taking to Instagram, Kabita dropped a video featuring Gaurav being seated inside the flight, unaware of being recorded from behind by the content creator. Sharing the clip, she wrote in the caption, “Are ye chehra jaana pehchana lag raha hai (This face seems familiar).”
The comedian also hopped in the banter and re-shared the clip on his stories and quipped, “Sting operation ho gaya.”

Not just this, Kabita dropped a picture with Gaurav from the runway, seemingly clicked just before the two boarded the flight. The post caption read, “Khana banate aur khaate waqt comedy video dekhna sehat ke liye achaa hota hai,” playfully highlighting the significance of their work.

Who Is Kabita Singh?
Born and brought up in Kolkata, she developed a strong interest in cooking from a young age. She always had a knack for experimenting with flavours and techniques to make delicious foods.
Her journey as a cooking influencer began in November 2014, when she launched her YouTube channel, named Kabita’s Kitchen. Initially, she started the channel as a hobby, documenting her recipes and sharing her culinary knowledge with friends and family.
Currently, she has 14.5 million subscribers on YouTube.
Gaurav Kapoor’s Journey
His journey into stand-up comedy began in 2015, when he performed at a number of open mic events in Mumbai, winning various accolades. However, his break came when he had the opportunity to open gigs for well-known international comedians such as Vir Das and Russell Peters.
Gaurav rose to stardom in 2018, when he released his solo special, Hahakaar, on Amazon Prime Video, giving him the opportunity to display his talent to a global audience.
He often shares his stand-up videos on his YouTube channel, with 1.25 million subscribers.
