The season may still be young, but there have already been several incredible matchups and moments on the gridiron across the DMV.

Maryland vs. Virginia
The most intriguing matchups of the season often involve two teams separated by the state line. Maryland and Virginia both have their fair share of decorated high school football programs, and this week, two of them go head-to-head. Quince Orchard is coming off a banner year. The Cougars went 13-0, capping off the season with a state championship win over Wise. One year later, the Cougars are off to a hot start, winning both of their games to open the season. However, this week, the competition increases. The Stone Bridge Bulldogs are 3-0, allowing their opponents to score just 13 points total. With two incredibly talented teams, expect a razor-thin margin in this Friday night showdown.
